FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

We all know that Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in the month of June. In other countries, it is celebrated on a different date. This day is celebrated to honor and respect fathers, celebrate fatherhood and paternal bonds, and to increase the bond of the family. This is also a day when people give gifts and presents to their fathers. Some treat them to a fancy restaurant and some even go to an out of the country vacation. But the greatest thing that happens on this day is how we share our love to our dad.

My dad is just like a superhero. He is really funny, brave and strong. He can even hoist me up on his shoulders so I can touch the ceiling of our house, making me feel like I can fly. He taught me to be brave and he taught me never to give up. My dad always supported me and lifted my spirits. He will face every trial unconditionally just to protect and do what is best for me. There were also times when we get into a quarrel because of misunderstandings. But this didn't stop him to bring out the best in me. He will give up everything so that he can be there to guide me as I grow up and lead me to a better future. He was there for the first second of my life and still will be till the last of my breath.

Father's Day only happens on one day every year but this doesn't mean that we should ignore and not love our dad for the other 364 days of the year. No one can ever replace the love that a father can give. He will love you righteously, eternally and unconditionally. That's why we should all appreciate the love that our father gives, for he helped us to become who we are today. This may be just a simple gift for my dad but no matter what happens, I want him to know that I will always love him.

THE ONE I CAN CALL MY HERO

When we were kids, we always believed that heroes exist. We thought that a hero is someone with superhuman abilities, such as super strength, super speed, telepathy and invisibility. Even today, I still believe in heroes but my definition of a hero is quite different from that. In my own words, a hero is someone I can model myself after. Someone who can show me the way to what is right and what is wrong and someone who will always be there to help me get back on my feet when I fall. For me, the person I can proudly call my hero is no other than my mother. My mom is the kindest, funniest, and strongest person that I know and she has always been there to support me during good and bad times.

Though many people look up to those who are famous, I model myself after my mom because she always served as my inspiration. She has been setting morals and values for me to follow since I was a little kid. She was like a guide to help me choose the right path and she has been there to teach me to do my best and to never give up. She also listened to my problems and helped me solve them no matter what they were. Just her listening and giving advice is like being a best friend to me.

She was always there to ensure the safety and best interest of our family. She provided our family with all of the things that we have needed. Parents nowadays have trouble raising their children. Some of them even gave up and just left their children to strive for themselves but my mom never left us and she always did her best to make us a happy and contented family.

Yes she is simple and she doesn't have superpowers but without my mom, I would not have become who I am today and I would never have achieved any of my dreams. I know that these simple words may not repay all the care and love my mother gave but I will always be there for my mom like she was there for me.
